In our fast paced lifestyles, having a meaningful rewarding relationship is difficult to obtain. We all want to be happy and have someone to love, to love us and share our lives with. But how many of you actually have the type of relationship you want?
There are many different types of relationships you can fall into: relationships of convenience, relationships of need, etc.
If a relationship is to prosper, it needs to be founded on the proper basis. Mutual attraction, of course is generally the primary instigator of a relationship but if there is not more to sustain it, it can become difficult, painful and lead to perpetuating a pattern of disappointments.
When you find yourself starting into a new relationship, ask yourself the following question: “What do I want in a relationship?”
By asking yourself this one question, you will actually be outlining the best relationship for you. Jot your “wants” down in a list. After all, if you don’t find what you are truly looking for, what chance will the relationship have? We all deserve to be happy. By acknowledging what you want, you will be one step closer to achieving the type of relationship your heart desires.
