I recently received the following question by email:

"If a person has a goal of getting out of debt, The Secret says to focus on the intention of bringing in extra money, not getting out of debt. That's kind of hard to do, as a person has to pay bills, plan on which bills to pay first, etc. SO....I was wondering if the LOA would still work - if a person put out two intentions. One to bring in xxx amount of extra money in x period of time. The other is to eliminate these specific debts, in that period of time. In your understanding of the LOA, would they cancel each other out?"

My recommendation: Focus on the main desire which is your financial situation. Focusing on debt will cause you to emit negative vibrations and will in return bring you back more of the same. It is best to focus on prosperity or abundance. When it comes to Law of Attraction, like attracts like. If you focus on negative issues, you invite more of the same into your life. When looking at your finances, make a list (using a T-Tool) of all the things you don't like about your current situation. Then, starting at the top of the list, ask yourself, "So, what do I want?" and list your answer directly across from your first entry. Do this for each of the things you don't like or want in your financial situation. After listing all your wants, these are now the things you will focus on. Using a T-Tool makes gaining clarity about what you actually do want an easier task. You can download one free by visiting my resources page at JudithWentzel.com
